New Moon star Kristen Stewart has said she bonded with Dakota Fanning on the set of their new movie The Runaways.

The 19-year-old takes on the role of Joan Jett in the new movie, with Fanning playing the part of Cherie Currie. The pair lock lips for the flick and Stewart said it wasn’t difficult as they became good friends.

During a press day for the flick, she said: “Working this closely with someone, you can’t help but really become bonded with them and it really helps when you actually like them and can become really good friends.

“I haven’t really done a lot of movies with people close to my own age to have a good friend like that. So I was excited, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to do it with.”

X Factor boss Simon Cowell has said he’s “there for” Cheryl Cole after her recent marriage split.

The 50-year-old music mogul works with Cole, 26, on the hit UK talent show and said he’s supporting her after she separated from husband Ashley, 29.

Cowell said to UK newspaper Daily Mail: “She’s a friend and you’re always going to be there for friends.”

He added: “She’s going through a hard time, but she’s a strong girl. I’ve been in touch and I’m there for her.”

Asked if he thinks the pair will split or get back together, he said: “You’ve got to do what feels right for you.”

Actress Sarah Jessica Paker shared photographs from her family album as she traced her ancestry on a US TV show.

The snaps show the Sex and the City star in her younger years, as well as with husband Matthew Broderick, their son James Wilkie and twins Marion and Tabitha.

They featured in the TV show Who Do You Think You Are?, which saw Parker learn about the lives of her ancestors.

She was amazed to discover her 10th great-grandmother narrowly escaped being put to death in the infamous 1692 Salem witch trials.

Simon Cowell confirmed his engagement on a US talk show – and even brought on his fiancé for a kiss.

Simon Cowell initially squirmed in his seat as Tonight Show host Jay Leno quizzed him on his relationship with makeup artist Mezghan Hussainy.

“Are rumours you’re engaged true?” Leno asked Cowell.

After pausing to think about his answer, Cowell replied: “Are they true? Well, I do have somebody in my life now, Jay, yes. And I kinda made a decision this year to make somebody happy. It is called giving back.”

Cowell received a huge ovation from the studio audience after confirming the news he will marry Hussainy.

Leno then spotted Hussainy, 36, at the side of the stage and invited her on.

After shaking hands with Leno and giving Cowell a kiss, Hussainy made her apologies and left.

Asked about starting a family, Cowell said: “I’m kind of torn because I’m a bit too old to have kids, but then again I think it would be important to have lots of [veresions of] me around in the future.”

Reality star Kendra Wilkinson said she falls more in love with husband Hank Baskett every time she sees him with their son.

The 24-year-old married Baskett, 27, in June last year and their son, Hank IV, was born in December.

She recently shared a new photo of the baby sitting with his NFL star dad watching the Oscars.

Wilkinson said: “Yesterday, while I was working on a photo shoot at home, Hank, baby Hank and Martini [their dog] kept busy by watching the Oscars and they just looked soooo freakin’ cute that I had to stop the shoot and take a pic!!!

“Hank is seriously the best dad in the world and I fall more in love with him every time I see him with our son.”

Oscar-nominated star Carey Mulligan has had no job offers since hit movie An Education and fears she may have to claim unemployment benefit.

The 24-year-old beauty shot to fame after appearing in the flick and recently missed out on the Best Actress gong at the Academy Awards.

However, she has admitted that there have been no other movie offers and she’s unsure about what she’s doing next.

She said: “This is all a dream come true for me. But I don’t have another job yet so I don’t know what I’m going to do – maybe the dole.”

Mulligan recently finished shooting Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and added: “I have yet to be offered another role. You never know when this is going to end. Hopefully it won’t be just yet.

“I never thought I would land a role in a movie, let alone be nominated for an Oscar.”

Reality star Kendra Wilkinson has revealed she suffered from the post-baby blues when her son was born in December.

The 24-year-old gave birth to first child Hank IV in December and admitted that motherhood was far from her previous life living in LA.

She told OK!: “After giving birth, I never brushed my hair, my teeth, or took a shower. I looked in the mirror one day and was really depressed.

“I thought, ‘Look at me!’ I had this glamorous life in LA, and now [in Indianapolis] I didn’t.”

Wilkinson used to live at the Playboy Mansion in LA as one of Hugh Hefner’s three girlfriends but after leaving she met NFL star Hank Baskett and they moved to Indianapolis when he joined the football team Indianapolis Colts.

Asked how bad it got, she said: “A couple of times, I even said, ‘I just have nothing to live for’.”

The Scientologists and best friends met up again when the producers of Alley’s new show, Kirstie Alley’s Big Life, organised for Travolta to make a surprise appearance.

Contact Music reports Alley fought back tears as the former co-stars of Look Who’s Talking were reunited. Alley, 59, who famously shed 33.5 kilograms as a Jenny Craig spokeswoman in 2006, has recently launched myriad marketing ventures – including a website that tailors organic diets for its subscribers.

Travolta’s appearance was timed to coincide with a birthday episode filmed she turned 59 on January 12. An insider said: “Her eyes welled with tears. When he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, Kirstie melted. She was so choked up, she couldn’t even speak. There wasn’t a dry eye on set.”

Big Life debuts on US TV on March 21, with the Travolta episode set to air on April 10.
