Soccer superstar David Beckham hit back at LA Galaxy fans who taunted him over his bust-up with teammate Landon Donovan after he refused to sign autographs.
Becks had no time for autographs as he arrived at LAX airport ready to fly to New York for his LA Galaxy comeback.
But jeering fans were quick to put the boot into the England ace, who many still haven’t forgiven for moving to AC Milan on loan.
One shouted: “Thanks for taking care of the fans David!”
Another, referring to Donovan’s comments about Beckham not being fully committed to the Galaxy, yelled: “Landon Donovan was right! Landon was right!”
The cruel comments appeared to hit a nerve as Becks responded: “That’s why you don’t get anything.”
Beckham had showed he is champing at the bit to get back into action for the Galaxy by turning up for his flight on Wednesday two-and-a-half hours early.
He arrived in his black Escalade SUV and looked to be in a rush as he walked straight past the small group of autograph hunters.
Beckham is set to make his MLS return for the Galaxy against the New York Red Bulls in the Big Apple on Thursday night.
He was furious after team-mate Donovan publicly questioned his professionalism and commitment to the Galaxy following his loan move to Italy.
