I was reading up on Pete and Ashlee news wondering how the newlywed expectant parents to be are doing and smiled when I came across an article he did with PEOPLE. He seems content and excited about their baby’s arrival in a few months. The proud father to be has been reading books, watching movies, talking with his dad getting fatherly advice, and most importantly, being supportive and doting towards his wife Ashlee.
Here are some of the highlights of the interview he did with PEOPLE at his Angels & King nightspot in Chicago with Ashlee.
– “I’m reading a lot of books. The biggest one is The Expectant Father. It’s a really good one.”
– “The best advice my dad has given me was, go with your gut. And he said you can’t really have expectations. If I have expectations that he’s going to be a rock star, I’m sure he’ll come out being into sports, and if I have expectations that he’ll be into sports then he’ll be into math or something.”
– “I’m just going into taking it one step at a time, and I’m just excited to meet the baby.”
– “We’ll baby-proof the house,” he says, “getting the nursery ready.” Regarding its theme, “It’s not a secret, but it’s more of a private thing. I haven’t really figured it out yet, so I don’t want to go out there and say what it is and then have it not be that.”
–”Contrary to the stories out there, we don’t know the sex of the baby,” he says. “I’m a person that always likes to be surprised, so I like to wait for the surprise.”
– “Ashlee’s a trouper. She’s been really good with this. She’s probably one of the most health conscious, spiritually free pregnant women I’ve even been around.”
So sweet. It made me smile!
KFed and Britney’s never-ending custody battle is going to trial. Both of their attorneys spent the entire day trying to figure out a custody arrangement but were unable to come to an agreement.
Kevin’s attorney told E!, “The mediation didn’t result in an agreement that would avoid the trial set in August … The mood was comfortable, positive and it was a mood that was consistent with opening at least a great dialogue, which is necessary.”
KFed is seeking sole and legal custody of their sons with Britney getting visitation rights. Kevin’s attorney also stated that, “If the existing arrangement was acceptable to both parties … we wouldn’t have to go to trial.”
I don’t understand this at all. Britney has to be constantly supervised herself so how can she get custody of her children? I have to admit that I do think she is doing better and good for her… but she isn’t doing it on her own.
The trial is set to begin August 25th.
P. Diddy gave an interesting interview to the Daily Mail. One of the highlights that I had a laugh over was this:
“While I’m getting ready I like to relax with a drink - vodka and lemonade - and listen to some James Brown.
Then I’ll have a manicure and pedicure - and yes, I wax as well. Men owe it to women to make sure they are well-groomed.
I wax my privates. I also wear my fragrance, Unforgivable Black.”
Hmm, I wonder how the mothers of his children feel when they read/hear about him talking about his personal grooming habits! I wonder if he does his share of childcare so that they too can have the luxury of having some quality private time to indulge in spa treatments!
Usher sat down for an interview with Jive Magazine for their July issue. He talked about dissolving his working relationship with his mother who used to be his manager:
“I love my mother — she’s the only one I have,” he said, pausing for a moment before continuing. “I decided to not fire, not get rid of, but to give [my mother] the ultimate compliment — to retire her to be a full-time grandmother. My mother and I decided to change her situation, together. There was a conversation. I didn’t write her a letter or pink-slip her.”
He also talked about the difficult time he went through with his mom regarding his relationship with Tameka leading up to their off then on again wedding:
“I hurt more than anything over these last two years when I felt my mother didn’t really embrace my situation,” he told Vibe. “That really hurt me.”
“My mother is an aggressive person,” he said. “She makes hard decisions, and she caused me to make a hard decision as well.”
“Am I so much of a bad guy because I decided to get married? Am I so much of a bad guy [because once I got in the situation], I decided to stand for something, build a foundation, and think about my future?” he asked. “As a man, you would respect me for not turning my back on it. … It can never be bad to have a foundation as a man — a black man — in a time when women are dying for men. Women have started to become lovers of each other as a result of not having enough men. Are you not studying the stories? Wake up! Black love is a good thing.”
He also said he appreciates his wife and the values she brings to his life. “[Tameka] will tell me. If something doesn’t look right or she feels like it could look better, she’ll say something.
“The swagger I possess now definitely comes from my wife,” he said. “And my son completes me. He changes my perspective on what life is, and what matters.”
Usher also talked about married life in “Best Thing,” a song he duoed with Jay-Z also a newlywed on his new album, Here I Stand, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard albums chart earlier this month.
I know the ‘boys’ are now 20 years older but so is their act. If they made it less like their glory days of a boy band, it could still be cool.
They definitely need some new dance moves.
Here is an adorable pic of Posh’s gorgeous hubby taken in Sierra Leone. He’s there on a trip for UNICEF to focus on a trip for child survival. Thankfully he doesn’t have a fake and bake tan! For some reason he reminds me of that guy “Whistler” on prison break in this pic. Although they do not usually look anything alike.

Supposedly Jamie Lynn’s Baby Daddy Casey has dumped her. He wants a paternity test because there are rumors that she has slept with a older tv producer. This information is apparently from Britney Spears herself. Can we trust Brit’s gossip? Why would a ‘family’ friend leak this information to the press? I don’t really understand who all these sources and friends are. If they really were friends they wouldn’t be leaking these celebrities secrets.
“He wants a paternity test,” Britney told the Spears family friend, according to In Touch Weekly. “Casey doesn’t want to be with her until he’s sure that he’s the father.”

Sources tell TMZ Britney and K-Fed are about to attend their first co-parenting class.
Brit was spotted by the papparzzi entering the building to attend her first co-parenting class. K-Fed was expected to be arriving as well. The class, lead by a parenting coach teaches divorced couples how parents should raise and co-parent their children.
The Federline boys will not be present during the session.

This will be the third time that Brit and K-Fed have been in the same room together since they separated. I imagine it will be awkward for both of them. It’s painful enough for anyone to be going through divorce and custody issues, it must be insanely crazy doing it in front of the world.
It seems as if MADONNA will get permanent custody of her adopted African son five months earlier than she was expecting. She is due to appear before the high court in Malawi next month for a review of her temporary adoption order. The hearing was originally scheduled for April – will be granting her full custody of two-year-old David Banda. The lil guy has been living with her, hubbie GUY RITCHIE and their two children in London for a year.
Madonna, who is pouring millions into Malawi’s orphanages, is alleged to be getting special treatment.
Lawyer Justin Dzonzi stated that the temporary order had stipulated that at least 18 months should elapse to assess Madonna’s suitability as a parent. He added: “If this is true it would appear the rules have been bent.â€
Officials have only visited once, when they were supposed to have two visits.
Britney went to court today 5 hours late. She was eventually granted one overnight a week with her kids. According to TMZ, Britney spoke sarcastically to the judge! Here is the passage, read it if you are interested in Britney’s daily drama.
“We’re told Spears had a back and forth with the Commish that lasted approximately 40 minutes. She constantly interrupted him and at times was extremely sarcastic. At one point she started thanking the judge for what he had done, but her tone was heavily laced with disdain.
We’re told the Commish explained to Spears how she had gotten to the point she’s at — why defying the various orders she was supposed to comply with raised concerns that she was not a responsible person. Spears didn’t get it. She was at times contentious, argumentative and condescending.
We’re told K-Fed’s lawyer didn’t object to her testimony, it was so bad. One description of today’s testimony, pretty simple — “Appalling.”
