Tito Jackson said he and his brothers and sisters conducted a military-style raid on Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch to make him face up to his addiction painkillers, the UK Mirror reports in an exclusive.
The Jackson clan were more and more worried by the stories about Michael’s being hooked on prescription drugs. Tito, 55, said: “I never saw him on drugs. Not once. He deliberately did it away from us. He didn’t want his family to know anything about that part of him. He did almost everything in his power to make sure we didn’t know.”
Michael desperately tried to conceal his habit from his siblings. He asked his security detail to stop his own brothers and sisters from entering the fantasy land. In response, the clan decided to force entry. Tito said: “We had to act. It was me, my sisters Janet, Rebbie and La Toya and my brothers, Jackie and Randy. We bust right into the house and he was surprised to see us to say the least. We went into one of his private rooms and had a discussion with him.
“Some of us were crying. We kept asking him if it was true what we had heard that he was using drugs. He kept denying it. He said we were over-reacting. We also spoke to a doctor and he assured us it was not the situation. He said he was there to make sure Michael was healthy.”
In his first interview since the death of 50-year-old Michael, Tito said it took a couple of attempts to get through the security guards at Neverland and stage the intervention before the siblings were successful.
“They would block the road into Neverland with other vehicles so we couldn’t drive in, all kinds of crazy things. I don’t know whose instructions those were but that’s what happened. I went up there twice trying to get through before we finally did.”
Tito said: “We didn’t know what to believe. We didn’t take what Michael said as the truth. We talked about it again and again for hours but we just couldn’t get through to him. After that occasion we tried many times but his team of people just shut us out, they would not let us close. They literally shut us out. I don’t know if they were just doing their job or if it they were part of some kind of conspiracy. I do know that Michael would say to them ‘I don’t care who it is, don’t let anybody on my property if they haven’t called first.’”
Tito said he first learned of the painkillers as an issue in 1993 when Michael entered a rehabilitation clinic. They were thought to have been started due to the agony of burns treatment he received. Jackson famously burned his scalp while making a Pepsi commercial in 1984.

El DeBarge who was a pop star in the 80s was arrested again, this time for possession of a controlled substance. He had been arrested in L.A. earlier this month, and was jailed after police discovered two warrants for his arrest. Real name- Patrick Eldra DeBarge was hit with several charges last year, ranging from vandalism to drugs and domestic violence.
Patrick is being held without bail and is due back in court tomorrow.
El Debarge was the lead singer in the 80’s group DEBARGE. Some of their many hits were: Rhythm of the night, All this love, Secret Garden, Love Always, Time will reveal, You wear it well, I like it, Love Me In A Special Way. Brother James used to be married to Janet Jackson.
Janet Jackson has now canceled three more shows which makes for a total of six altogether on her tour. According to her rep, JJ has cancelled last night’s show in Greensboro, NC, today’s show in Atlanta, and tomorrow’s in Fort Lauderdale because it’s “evident” she’s not fully recovered.
So that makes Montreal, Boston, and Philly, Greensboro, Atlanta, and Fort Lauderdale. Her doctor has ordered her to go home for further treatment.
From what I’ve been reading, Janet’s tour has been less than 3/4 capacity at all her venue’s except for Los Angeles. Wonder if her tour has been losing money and she’s doing the same thing that Britney did on the ONYX Tour… progressively becoming more ill and bowing out with a medical condition rather than face up to the shame that has followed her career since the Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction.

A rep for Royal Victoria Hospital confirms Janet Jackson was treated and released at their hospital last night. She had “fallen ill” during a sound check and was taken to Emerg.
People is reporting that an unnamed source told them that Janet is suffering from exhaustion. Apparently the touring schedule has been grueling. I’ve also read she has over 10 costume changes, dances for 2 hours and sings 30+ songs!
Couldn’t have been too serious though because her bf Jermaine Dupri was in NYC. A source close to him said: “If [Janet's condition] was more serious he would’ve rushed to her side.” What a tool. He pukes on her during his bday celebrations… probably gave her some kind of bug! He should be vaccinated STAT!
Then he won’t get off his a** to fly over to Montreal to show his girl some love and concern.
Her Boston concert was canceled and apparently she canceled last Friday in Detroit due to “production constraints.”
What’s going on with her? Should we be concerned?
LaToya Jackson went to see her sister Janet perform at The Staples Center. She also checked out Janet’s party at Hyde’s following her show. Haven’t really heard or seen much from her lately and she still hasn’t finished her album called Startin’ Over yet… even though she supposedly has been working on it for the past five years.
Looks as if she’s been working on herself though. She doesn’t look as if she has aged much but her facial skin looks lighter and her bosom looks so perky. I also don’t remember her being so pale nor do I don’t recall reading that she had vitiligo like her bro Michael claims he has.
It’s really quite disturbing how so many of the Jackson family members have had plastic surgery on their noses, even their mama seems to have gone under the knife as well. Shame really.
A federal appeals court just tossed out the $550K fine against CBS for Janet’s infamous 2004 “wardrobe malfunction,” ruling that the FCC acted “arbitrarily and capriciously” in slapping CBS with the fine.
Looks like Janet is off the hook! She was covering her nipple anyway, I don’t see what the big deal was.
Janet put in an appearance at the Nickelodeon’s 2008 Kids’ Choice Awards last Saturday. She’s looking quite odd with that small waist. I think she may have cracked ribs, because that just isn’t normal!
She also recently lent her support and appeared in a video along with some other celebrities for a new anti- hate video for Logo. She’s at the end of the video saying “None of us are safe, until all of us are safe.”
Janet Jackson posed for Blackbook Magazine and might I say that this picture terrifies me. I am not quite sure what Janet is trying to prove but I don’t like it. The cover page where she is the cage is so much better than this random head contraption. The caged shot Janet actually looks quite sexy, but this other picture makes me think of her as some kind of vicious animal.
I am not sure what is up with Mimi but she has lost a lot of weight and is looking ridiculously fine. On other Mariah Carey news it has been announced that her album has been pushed back to either April or July, rather than early spring. I guess that she doesn’t want to compete with Janet’s new album. I think that is the tightest dress I have ever seen.
