On August 27, DMX pleaded guilty to attempted marijuana and cocaine possession charges brought to him and was sent to the Maricopa County Jail in Arizona, after he missed a court appearance.
He is now facing several other charges, including four drug ones, seven misdemeanor animal-cruelty ones arising from two raids on his Phoenix-area home as well as theft of services and identity theft charge for using a fake identity card at a health clinic.
He left a Miami, Florida, jail, and was extradited to Arizona where, along with a sentence to serve time, he was also fined $483.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s officials released a statement saying he is now being held on a $25,000 cash bond.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, is now 37 years old. His stage name stands for Dark Man X, which is the name he chose to use when he began his musical career. So far, his bestselling album is „…And Then There Was X,” which he released in 1999.
Back in the summer of 1999, he and his wife were arrested and charged for animal cruelty and possession of drugs and weapons. The following year he was arrested again for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, driving without a license and possession of marijuana. In 2001, he did some jail time for driving without a license and yet again, possession of marijuana.
Apparently, he needs rehab as well as some discipline since he keeps making the same mistakes over and over!
So I had a pretty busy day today, but apparently Khloe Kardashian went in to serve her sentance, and ended up in the slammer for about 183 minutes! Longer than Nicole Richie at least. I guess they figured Khloe could handle a little longer as she isn’t as fragile looking as Nicole.
Oh and btw Chloe thinks she is 5′10 and 145 pounds! LOL
I am 5 ‘4, and I weight 130 pounds and I would be classified as being on the ’skinnier side’.
Khloe is quite a curvy girl, and just being 5′10 warrants being over that weight. Those figures give a BMI of 20.8… still under ‘normal weight’ but just barely!
Anyway above is her mugshot I have to say pretty hot. She looks better in that shot than she normally does!
Pete Doherty received a suspended jail sentence yesterday for possession of drugs relating to his arrest in May.
Police had found a number of substances such as crack, heroine, ketamine and cannabis – on him and in his Jaguar in Kensington, West London. Doherty also plead guilty subsequently to a number of driving offenses. At a West London Magistrates’ Court on Thursday he was given a four-month custodial sentence, suspended for two years. He was also given an 18-month supervision order and a 12-month drug rehabilitation order by Davinder Lachhar, the district judge. She also ordered that Doherty pay a £400 fine for driving with no insurance and a £75 fine for having no MoT certificate.
About Doherty’s attempt at rehab Judge Lachhar said: “You have made strides and I hope you will continue to do so. I would hate to see you go backwards.â€
He left court to a chorus of cheers from his fans, who had packed the public gallery.
