Two guys from Jersey are suing Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z and others, claiming they have made millions by jacking off one of their songs.
Jermaine Jumpp and Michael C. Adams affidavit states that they handed a “compact disk” to the “office” of megaproducer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins with the song “On My Grind.”
Fast-forward to four years later, Mary J. recorded “Enough Cryin’” — produced by Darkchild which the guys say sounds way too familiar.
Jay-Z’s role in all this is so far unclear.
Stephen Colbert has just released a Christmas album titled, A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All, and he is upset that it has only reached No. 16 on iTunes.
Kanye West’s album, 808s and Heartbreak is currently in the coveted top spot on the list, forcing Colbert to launch “Operation Humble Kanye.”
“I’m furious that an egomaniac like Kanye is beating me,” Colbert said. He went on and refreshed everyone’s memories of Kanye’s recent holier-than-thou statement: “I will go down as the voice of this generation of this decade.”
Colbert’s response? “Sir, you are not the voice of this generation of this decade. In fact, with all the auto-tuning on your records, you’re barely the voice of your own albums.”
Colbert went on to say that Kanye has the same influence on this generation as Crocs!
Colbert finished off by asking everyone to purchase his album on iTunes tonight at 5 PM, saying, “This is war, and I’m calling for a surge.”
Kanye responded to the attack via Twitter, saying “Who the fuck is Stephen Colbert?”
He would like us all to purchase his Christmas album on iTunes this Wednesday at 5pmEST so that he can knock Kanye West off the #1 spot. Stephen believes that his ego is big enough to go up against and crush Kanye’s gigantic ego.
Alex Rodriguez, aka A-Rod, had a front row seat at Madonna’s ”Sticky & Sweet” concert tour at Dolphins Stadium on Wednesday in Miami. Here he is sitting beside one of Madonna’s closest friends, nightclub owner Ingrid Casares.
E! News is reporting that Madonna was staring into the New York Yankee baseball star’s eyes as she sang the song from her Evita movie “You Must Love Me.” A-Rod even handed her a bottle of water while she was performing on stage.
A fan said: “It was easy for him to hand it off because he was sitting in the front row. He was all excited watching her perform.”

El DeBarge was sentenced today to two years in California State Prison in Lancaster resulting from his recent drug bust. The judge determined that his conduct earlier this month when he was allegedly found with crack cocaine violated the probation that he was on from a drug case back in 2007.
DeBarge was arrested in Grand Rapids, Mich., in 1996 and ordered to pay back child support for his daughter. Ten years before that, he pleaded no contest in Grand Rapids to a charge of creating a disturbance after a college student accused him of assaulting her.
Three of his brothers — Chico, Robert and Thomas — have also served jail time on cocaine-related convictions.
Alex Rodriguez, aka A-Rod, has been taking heat for his very close relationship with Madonna but he is ON FIRE in this brand new ad for Guitar Hero: World Tour.
In the clip, A-Rod is featured alongside some of the world’s most famous athletes — Kobe Bryant, Tony Hawk and Michael Phelps. They all pay tribute to the famous scene in Risky Business featuring Tom Cruise. Kobe rocks the mic, A-Rod and Phelps rip it up on guitar, and Tony Hawk slides in on a skateboard to play the drums.
The video was directed by Brett Ratner, who most recently directed the music videos for Miley Cyrus’s “7 Things” and Mariah Carey’s “Touch My Body”.
Guitar Hero: World Tour will be available stores this Sunday, October 26. The game features a redesigned guitar controller, drum kit with cymbals and a mic. Sweet!
NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK had their official after concert party at LAX Nightclub in Vegas last night.
TMZ reports :

Anyways… the story here is about the laptop stalker dude who seems to be waaaaaaaay older that the rest of the “HSM” fan base. Old man with a tan beaked off to Zac outside of a theater in London last night, and, reports the Daily Mail, the old codger attacked Zac on the side of his head (messing up his hair in the process) before security could restrain him.
No charges were filed. Zac wasn’t injured, just his hair messed up.
Miami’s notorious bad boy had his belated 26th birthday bash Monday night at Washington Ave.’s infamous Mansion. He rolled in with his entourage at around 2 a.m. holding a stack of Styrofoam cups. One cup for his drink, and another cup for cotton candy. In between taking bites of the fluffy candy he flashed his diamond-encrusted grill.
Friends that came out included Poe Boy Brisco, Birdman, DJ Khaled, Mack Maine, G12, manager Cortez Bryant and other randoms. When he arrived he was greeted with 12 bottles of bubbly, topped with sparklers. He spent the night partying with his homies in a roped-off section of the club.

“Samba dancers were outfitted in feathers, silver thongs and swinging beads, and as they worked the poles, fans seemed more interested in the celebratory activities underway at Wayne’s VIP. For those who didn’t make it past the velvet rope, bartenders offered bottle service at one bar, while the other sported a chillin’ ice sculpture for Wayne, carved with the Young Money logo.”

After repeatedly dodging questions about his sexuality and despite the rumours, former “American Idol” singer Clay Aiken has now admitted he is a gay man in an interview with People magazine which will be online Wednesday.
He had insisted previously that his sexuality was nobody’s business but his own and in 2006 when ABC’s television’s Diane Sawyer asked him flat out, he told her off saying it was a “really rude” question! He also shrugged the same question off in a previous interview with People magazine saying that people “are going to believe what they want.”
The caption on the latest PEOPLE cover reads “Yes, I’m Gay,” and underneath is a quote from Aiken on his decision to come out of the closet that says: “I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things.”
In August this year, Clay’s friend, music producer Jaymes Foster, (sister of record producer David Foster) gave birth to the baby fathered by him.

Good Charlotte guitarist Billy Martin and his new wife Linzi announced on his blog that they are expecting a baby due in January. He wrote the following:
“We bought a pregnancy test without even stressing or sweating,” says Martin, who married hairstylist Linzi on March 1, their eight-year dating anniversary. “She went to take it, I sat down at my desk, and two minutes later she came out and said, ‘I’m pregnant!’
“All the sound in the world stopped for a minute. I was shocked – but excited.” They are designing an Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland-themed nursery which they’ll customize once they know the baby’s gender.
“If it’s a girl, maybe more Alice-based, and if it’s a boy, more Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat,” says Martin. Their inspiration grew from the illustrations in Disney’s Alice, the vintage Lewis Carroll book, as well as the Tim Burton-helmed Alice film that is currently in the works.
He went on to say:
“We’re not going to do anything dark and spooky that’s going to scare the baby,” says Martin with a laugh. “We want a lighter, happier version.”
He is an accomplished painter and illustrator with his own T-shirt line, so he will definitely be creating some original artwork for his baby.
Joel Madden his band mate from Good Charlotte also a new daddy to 8-month-old daughter Harlow with girlfriend Nicole Richie has been very encouraging and supportive:
“Joel says it’s going to change my whole world, but fatherhood is the best thing that ever happened to him,” says Martin. “He tells me not to stress out, and to try to take everything in stride and enjoy it because it’s the coolest thing that can happen to you.”
A remix album for Good Charlotte, and a children’s book he has written and illustrated called Damious McDreary: A Boy and his Bat, are both due to be released in the fall of 2009.
Even though there is beef between the two of them, T.I. and Ludacris, have stunned everyone by putting their differences aside to collaborate together:
“There’s a time and place for everything, and now is the time,” ‘Cris told MTV News. The track is called, “Wish You Would.” It’ll be on Luda’s next LP, which is due in October.
“This [upcoming] album, Theater of the Mind, is an event, and all the songs on it are events,” Luda said. “I felt like there was no bigger event in hip-hop at this moment than me and T.I. working together.”
“Me and dude never had no problems,” T.I. said when he called in to DJ Self’s Sirius Satellite Radio show. “It was always turmoil between our camp and his camp. Us as the bosses of our companies, everyone is gonna follow our lead. We’d figure if it ain’t no problem and we don’t have no issues, no beef, then there’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to get together and make music. That was an executive decision that was made on both our behalves.”
So far so good, neither doing the flex with the other. On Monday in Houston at the Ozone Awards Playaz Circle member Tity Boi had this to say about the duet:
“I was surprised just as much as everybody else was. I talked to Luda, and he said it was time to sit down, do business, make grown-man moves. Both of them got albums coming out. Time to try new things. ['Cris] did something for T.I. too that nobody heard yet. It’s about to come out soon. It’s a good move.”
Makin grown man moves is good for their bank accounts as well. I smell the sweet musky scent of manly success with this collab!
Theater of the Mind is slated for October 21, while Tip’s Paper Trail comes out September 30.
This rock and roll bad boy has survived bouts with cancer, rehab and an undisclosed medical condition that sidelined their tour, but Eddie Van Halen is looking so much healthier these days.
He’s rocking a new ‘do, and new teeth. This picture was taken recently as he vacationed in Maui this past Tuesday looking tan and fit. For those of you who may not know, his ex-wife and mother of his son Wolfie is Valerie Bertinelli the spokesperson for Jenny Craig who is all over the telly discussing her 40 pound weight loss.
This week, a close friend of Eddie Van Halen’s told the Van Halen News Desk that Eddie is doing “fantastic”, hasn’t drank alcohol in months, and is “very serious about staying sober.”
