Well it was just a matter of time before Katy’s mom publicly denounced her hit single “I Kissed A Girl” especially since her daughter originally released a Christian gospel album in 2001. Now since crossing over to the dark side and revealing she has a bicurious side Katy upset her mom even further when she revealed that she would go gay for a certain couple of celebs:
“I was reading a magazine and opened it up to a picture of either Scarlett Johansson or Megan Fox, and I turned to my boyfriend and said, ‘You know, if they walked through the door and asked me to pucker up, I would just do it.’ “
Her mother who is a pastor had this to say about her hit song:
“I can’ even listen to that song. The first time I heard it I was in total shock. It promotes homosexuality and its message is shameful and disgusting. When it comes on the radio I bow my head and pray.”
“The message she is promoting is about homosexuality, which the bible clearly states is a sin.”
“Some of her outfits are too revealing and her father has had words with her about it. She changed when she went to L.A. and is going through a period of rebellion. Katy is not a homosexual and has just been led astray by Hollywood.”
Lindsay is annoyed and has taken to her MySpace blog to vent about the chit chat going on about her little sister’s boobs and whether or not she’s had them done. I don’t imagine that mama Lohan ever told her that sometimes the best response is no response. For whatever reason, Lindsay felt she had to set the record straight. Whatever… maybe she really thinks that any publicity is good publicity!

my response simply was, “Did you really just ask me that? She is a 14 year old girl, and you are a pedophile!”
i was caught out of nowhere so i didn’t really come up with the proper response at the time.. there’s many other things that i felt like saying, but why give it to a random guy with a camera so that he can make money!
All i am trying to say is, is that, i was raised with a wonderful family surrounding me, of course we have our ups and downs, but all in all my mother taught us to appreciate what we have been given. Nor would she ever encourage, or allow a 14 year old child to alter her body.
i am not judging people that do, but i am just saying that its not something that my family finds necessary to do, especially when you’re not even fully developed yet!
It is hard enough being 14 years old and you have enough insecurities to begin with, then add being in the public eye…
i just find it really disconcerting that people have to focus on the negative and that some people are sooooo bored with their own lives that they need to manifest lies to hurt another person.

Lisa Marie Presley is expecting twins and here she is proudly showing off her tummy in a new photo spread for the September issue of Marie Claire that will hit stores August 12th.
She talks about about some of the unflattering photos of her being displayed on the net:
“You know what I think when I see those fat photos? I am not going to let them control me. I just let it all hang out. You want to look at me? Go ahead and look.”
She went on to discuss the hype about her weight gain:
“I am 5′ 3,” she says. “If I gain five pounds it shows. I am trying to grow another human being,” she adds: “Besides, I’m 40! I’m lucky to even be able to do this.” Lucky?! I am so surprised she’d want to do it all over again at her age! Of course being who she is, she’ll no doubt have all the help she may need, although she seems to have done a great job raising her two older children as they have not had any negative publicity so far! I’ve read that she gets along well with their father, and he lives on the same compound and co-parents them with her. Which is nice.
These babies will be the first for her and her new hubby Michael Lockwood and are due in the fall. She is already the mom of two teenage children, Riley, 19, and Benjamin, 15, with ex Danny Keough.
She seems content when she says:
“I am in a happy place now, but it took a lot to get here. I wasn’t always who I am now.”
Taylor Swift made another surprise guest appearance when she performed her hit country song “Should’ve Said No” with the Jonas Brothers at their concert at Madison Square Garden in NYC on Sunday night.
Disney star Demi Lovato, was their opening act, and she kept the crowd dancing on their feet the whole time. She is so adorabale.
The screaming high pitched ear-splitting young chicas confessing their total love and devotion for the entire night was unbelieveable! The guys put on a fantastic show with cartwheels, backflips, flames, fire extinguishers!
Usher has parted ways with his manager Benny Medina of Handprint Entertainment and has rehired his mother, Jonnetta Patton of J-Pat Management. Zomba Label Group released a statement saying that Usher:
“has dissolved his management arrangement with Benny Medina and has re-engaged Jonnetta Patton as his manager.”
He ended his relationship with his mother’s management company in May 2007 when he hired Medina, who also manages Mariah Carey. Medina helped launch Usher’s latest album “Here I Stand.” The album has sold 948,000 copies in the U.S. making it the No. 8 best-selling album of 2008 so far.
I was reading up on Pete and Ashlee news wondering how the newlywed expectant parents to be are doing and smiled when I came across an article he did with PEOPLE. He seems content and excited about their baby’s arrival in a few months. The proud father to be has been reading books, watching movies, talking with his dad getting fatherly advice, and most importantly, being supportive and doting towards his wife Ashlee.
Here are some of the highlights of the interview he did with PEOPLE at his Angels & King nightspot in Chicago with Ashlee.
– “I’m reading a lot of books. The biggest one is The Expectant Father. It’s a really good one.”
– “The best advice my dad has given me was, go with your gut. And he said you can’t really have expectations. If I have expectations that he’s going to be a rock star, I’m sure he’ll come out being into sports, and if I have expectations that he’ll be into sports then he’ll be into math or something.”
– “I’m just going into taking it one step at a time, and I’m just excited to meet the baby.”
– “We’ll baby-proof the house,” he says, “getting the nursery ready.” Regarding its theme, “It’s not a secret, but it’s more of a private thing. I haven’t really figured it out yet, so I don’t want to go out there and say what it is and then have it not be that.”
–”Contrary to the stories out there, we don’t know the sex of the baby,” he says. “I’m a person that always likes to be surprised, so I like to wait for the surprise.”
– “Ashlee’s a trouper. She’s been really good with this. She’s probably one of the most health conscious, spiritually free pregnant women I’ve even been around.”

KFed and Britney’s never-ending custody battle is going to trial. Both of their attorneys spent the entire day trying to figure out a custody arrangement but were unable to come to an agreement.
Kevin’s attorney told E!, “The mediation didn’t result in an agreement that would avoid the trial set in August … The mood was comfortable, positive and it was a mood that was consistent with opening at least a great dialogue, which is necessary.”
KFed is seeking sole and legal custody of their sons with Britney getting visitation rights. Kevin’s attorney also stated that, “If the existing arrangement was acceptable to both parties … we wouldn’t have to go to trial.”
I don’t understand this at all. Britney has to be constantly supervised herself so how can she get custody of her children? I have to admit that I do think she is doing better and good for her… but she isn’t doing it on her own.
The trial is set to begin August 25th.
Mitch Winehouse spoke out about how sick his daughter is : “The doctors have said that if she had continued the way she was going she could have ended up an invalid - she wouldn’t have been able to breathe. With smoking the crack cocaine and the cigarettes her lungs are all gunked up. There are nodules around the chest and dark marks. She’s got 70 per cent lung capacity.”
He then went on to say: “I’m saying to those drug dealers, and they know who they are, if they are supplying crack to Amy, then they’ve got to take responsibility. I don’t want her hanging out with her mates like Pete Doherty either.”
I am glad that Amy`s father is actually telling us what is going on, this way no rumors like the TB one will circulate. It is better to just be straight up and honest, I really admire that. I hate when people beat around the bush, whereas Mitch just comes right out and says she has to stop smoking crack!
Usher sat down for an interview with Jive Magazine for their July issue. He talked about dissolving his working relationship with his mother who used to be his manager:
“I love my mother — she’s the only one I have,” he said, pausing for a moment before continuing. “I decided to not fire, not get rid of, but to give [my mother] the ultimate compliment — to retire her to be a full-time grandmother. My mother and I decided to change her situation, together. There was a conversation. I didn’t write her a letter or pink-slip her.”
He also talked about the difficult time he went through with his mom regarding his relationship with Tameka leading up to their off then on again wedding:
“I hurt more than anything over these last two years when I felt my mother didn’t really embrace my situation,” he told Vibe. “That really hurt me.”
“My mother is an aggressive person,” he said. “She makes hard decisions, and she caused me to make a hard decision as well.”
“Am I so much of a bad guy because I decided to get married? Am I so much of a bad guy [because once I got in the situation], I decided to stand for something, build a foundation, and think about my future?” he asked. “As a man, you would respect me for not turning my back on it. … It can never be bad to have a foundation as a man — a black man — in a time when women are dying for men. Women have started to become lovers of each other as a result of not having enough men. Are you not studying the stories? Wake up! Black love is a good thing.”
He also said he appreciates his wife and the values she brings to his life. “[Tameka] will tell me. If something doesn’t look right or she feels like it could look better, she’ll say something.
“The swagger I possess now definitely comes from my wife,” he said. “And my son completes me. He changes my perspective on what life is, and what matters.”
Usher also talked about married life in “Best Thing,” a song he duoed with Jay-Z also a newlywed on his new album, Here I Stand, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard albums chart earlier this month.
Mariah Carey recently told Ellen DeGeneres that most of the people at her Bahamian wedding were “mainly people that did her hair and helped her with the dress.”
Mariah wants to have the wedding in New York and make it huge..
A source said, “She wants over 2,000 guests and the budget will be well over $4 million and she’ll have at least 14 bridesmaids.”
Why have a secret wedding in a rush, and then all of a sudden have another huge one? I guess Mimi just got caught up in the moment!
