T.I. And Ludacris Make Music Together
Posted by Chica at 7:10 pm in Album, Guys, Music

Even though there is beef between the two of them, T.I. and Ludacris, have stunned everyone by putting their differences aside to collaborate together:

“There’s a time and place for everything, and now is the time,” ‘Cris told MTV News. The track is called, “Wish You Would.” It’ll be on Luda’s next LP, which is due in October.

“This [upcoming] album, Theater of the Mind, is an event, and all the songs on it are events,” Luda said. “I felt like there was no bigger event in hip-hop at this moment than me and T.I. working together.”

“Me and dude never had no problems,” T.I. said when he called in to DJ Self’s Sirius Satellite Radio show. “It was always turmoil between our camp and his camp. Us as the bosses of our companies, everyone is gonna follow our lead. We’d figure if it ain’t no problem and we don’t have no issues, no beef, then there’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to get together and make music. That was an executive decision that was made on both our behalves.”

So far so good, neither doing the flex with the other. On Monday in Houston at the Ozone Awards Playaz Circle member Tity Boi had this to say about the duet:

“I was surprised just as much as everybody else was. I talked to Luda, and he said it was time to sit down, do business, make grown-man moves. Both of them got albums coming out. Time to try new things. ['Cris] did something for T.I. too that nobody heard yet. It’s about to come out soon. It’s a good move.”

Makin grown man moves is good for their bank accounts as well. I smell the sweet musky scent of manly success with this collab!

Theater of the Mind is slated for October 21, while Tip’s Paper Trail comes out September 30.

Two other musical guest spots on the CD are: New Edition (they sing on “Full Service”) and the Pussycat Dolls (who lend their voices on “Grown Man.”)

The Game Disses Em
Posted by Chica at 6:53 pm in 50 Cent, Album, Message, Music

THE GAME has stepped on EMINEM in a new track leaked online. This seems to be a thinly veiled announcement that their friendship is over.
The single, from his forthcoming L.A.X. album, is a collaboration with Lil Wayne.

The Game raps: “All the pictures of me and Em, I burned them / So there ain’t no proof I walked through 8 Mile.”
The two rappers were closerthanthis back in 2005, they did a duet on the track We Ain’t, from The Game’s debut album The Documentary.

I had to go look it up as I remembered him defending Em’s rep as a rapper awhile back to Rolling Stone… here it is:

“Everybody thinks it’s so bizarre because a white kid has never been at the top of hip-hop’s food chain. Eminem’s a talented motherf**ker, and nobody can f**k with the white dude.”

I wonder what caused this beef between them? Then again, he also has ongoing drama with 50 Cent who is one of Em’s proteges.

Heidi Montag was one of the many celebs that showed their support at the Race to Erase MS shopping benefit in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

She had this to say to Hollyscoop about her latest project, as well as shared who she’d like to work with in the future:

“Well, my single is out right now and we are kind of playing a singles game, I have been working in the studio a lot and we are just figuring it out. I would [like to collaborate with] lil Wayne, for sure! Maybe Britney Spears down the road, Madonna, I don’t know there are a lot of people.”

Dream on girl, get real.

Does she honestly think any of them will take her up on her offer?

Usher Speaks About Stuff
Posted by Chica at 5:49 pm in Album, Celebs, ChitChat, Family, Jay Z, Kids, Love Line, Magazines, Music, News, Usher

Usher sat down for an interview with Jive Magazine for their July issue. He talked about dissolving his working relationship with his mother who used to be his manager:

“I love my mother — she’s the only one I have,” he said, pausing for a moment before continuing. “I decided to not fire, not get rid of, but to give [my mother] the ultimate compliment — to retire her to be a full-time grandmother. My mother and I decided to change her situation, together. There was a conversation. I didn’t write her a letter or pink-slip her.”

He also talked about the difficult time he went through with his mom regarding his relationship with Tameka leading up to their off then on again wedding:

“I hurt more than anything over these last two years when I felt my mother didn’t really embrace my situation,” he told Vibe. “That really hurt me.”

“My mother is an aggressive person,” he said. “She makes hard decisions, and she caused me to make a hard decision as well.”

“Am I so much of a bad guy because I decided to get married? Am I so much of a bad guy [because once I got in the situation], I decided to stand for something, build a foundation, and think about my future?” he asked. “As a man, you would respect me for not turning my back on it. … It can never be bad to have a foundation as a man — a black man — in a time when women are dying for men. Women have started to become lovers of each other as a result of not having enough men. Are you not studying the stories? Wake up! Black love is a good thing.”

He also said he appreciates his wife and the values she brings to his life. “[Tameka] will tell me. If something doesn’t look right or she feels like it could look better, she’ll say something.

“The swagger I possess now definitely comes from my wife,” he said. “And my son completes me. He changes my perspective on what life is, and what matters.”

Usher also talked about married life in “Best Thing,” a song he duoed with Jay-Z also a newlywed on his new album, Here I Stand, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard albums chart earlier this month.

Alanis Strikes a Pose

Here are some promo shots from Alanis Morissette’s latest album: “Flavors of Entanglement.” Why is she trying to sell the sexy? What is she sitting on, is it a balance beam? Does she do gymnastics to keep in shape? I don’t know, maybe it’s me, but it seems as if she keeps trying to reinvent herself. First she was a pop princess, then she was the angry girl, now she’s older and trying too damn hard.

Ashlee “Changes” Her Cover
Posted by Chica at 12:13 am in Album, Ashlee Simpson, Celebs, Fashion, It Girls, Music, News

Ashlee Simpson’s new cover was getting bad reviews.. so the record label changed it but only a bit. They basically got rid of the terrible font and gave it a cleaner look. It still look basically the same though. You think they would have at least did a full overhaul. The music industry is definitely cheap and very lazy!

Here is the new cover, and the old cover is below it.
