Katherine Heigl had to ‘really fight’ for husband Josh Kelley
The Ugly Truth star Katherine Heigl has said she had to ‘really fight’ for her husband Josh Kelley.
The 31-year-old actress married musician Josh Kelley two years ago and they recently adopted a one-year-old Korean baby called Nancy Leigh.
Heigl was asked about the first time she met her hubby and who made the first call after their initial meeting.
She said: “I talk to Josh about this all the time. The next day I waited until 3pm and then I went: ‘Screw it, I’m going to call him.’
“I invited him to a friend’s barbeque. He showed up, we had a great time and it was on from there.
“But he played it really cool. It was at least a couple of months before I was like: ‘Does this guy like me as much as I like him?’”
She added: “I had to really fight for him to like me as much as I liked him – but again, there’s a fine line between honest and desperate.”
