True Blood star Ryan Kwanten will star in an independent flick that is being billed as Australia’s first crime-fighting superhero tale.

Roman Polanski will be too late to complete the film he was said to be due to finish while in jail.

The fugitive director has been granted a £2.7 million bail that releases him to house arrest in Switzerland.
