Harry Potter star Rupert Grint said he got “quite worked up” before his on-screen kiss in the new movie.
Rupert, 20, plays the role of Ron Weasley in the hit boy-wizard films, based on the books by JK Rowling.
In the new movie Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Ron kisses new girlfriend Lavender, played by actress Jessie Cave.
Talking about the scene, Rupert said: “It was quite intense. Ron’s new girlfriend, Lavender, kind of attacks him. I had only really just met Jessie Cave, who plays her, and suddenly, we were kissing up a storm.
“I was quite worked up about it because we’re in the middle of a huge crowd, and it’s never really a comfortable thing to do right in front people.
“When Daniel [Radcliffe] got kissed in the last film he was, like, totally alone.”
Rupert said that Daniel, also 20, didn’t make his kissing scene easy for him.
He said: “Daniel wasn’t great really when I did my kissing scene. I guess he hadn’t forgotten I’d teased him when he got kissed. He was sort of standing at the back of the set trying to make me laugh.
“He was a little bit of a creep.”
