The son of former Hollywood hellraiser Charlie Sheen has finally been released from hospital.

Three weeks after his birth, tiny Max Sheen has gone home to join his parents Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller and twin brother Bob, a spokesman for the Two and a Half Men star confirms.

Two And A Half Men Sheen and Mueller welcomed the twins on March 14 and Bob was soon allowed home.

But Max, who was slightly underweight, was kept in the hospital for observation.

Sheen’s rep Stan Rosenfield told People.com that Max was released from the hospital several days ago.

Rosenfield added: “Premature babies are often underweight. Max made weight and went home.

“It’s frustrating to be a parent and not have your family home with you. This is the last week of Two and a Half Men, so Charlie will be able to spend some quality time with his kids.”

For his part, Sheen is already playing doting dad.

He said earlier this month: “The weight issue is very common among infants who were born before reaching full term.

“I know a lot of people are not fond of hospital food; I just didn’t realize that they started so young!”

Max and Bob are the first children together for Sheen, 43, and his wife, 31.

The actor also has daughters, Sam, four and Lola, three, with ex-wife Denise Richards and another, daughter 24-year-old Cassandra, from a previous relationship.
