Bono is going to write the occassional Op-Ed column for the New York Times where he will cover a range of topics. He was given the job because Times editorial page editor, Andrew Rosentha thinks so highly of him. He had this to say about Bono:
“is an extraordinary man who thinks deeply about his art and the major issues confronting the world.”
His first column will be on Sunday and there will also be a podcast.
Bono called the opportunity to write for them “an honor,” and joked that he’s “never been great with the full stops or commas.”
