John Mayer showed up at Gallery1988 in L.A. in support of his pal Pete Wentz’s art show: “Without You I’m Just Me.” He arrived early, posed for pictures and then left before his ex, Jessica Simpson arrived.
An unnamed source said:
“John showed up early for the public viewing and took pictures with fans, but left before the VIP portion of the evening started. He wanted to be there for Pete, but wanted more to avoid the possibility of a dramatic encounter with Jess.”
John is now dating actress Jennifer Aniston, and Jess is dating football pro Tony Romo. I wonder if he would have stayed longer if Jen had been with him?
With all the rumours buzzing about JLo’s and Marc’s marriage being on the rocks, it’s about time their people had something to say about it. Since yesterday’s NY Daily News reported that they were headed for divorce by Valentine’s Day, the denials are in full force today:
J. Lo and Marc’s reps are doing what they are paid to do. Speak out.
Their publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, had this to say about the Valentine’s divorce article:
“There is no merit to the article.”
And Marc’s rep is also speaking out, saying “none of the rumors are true.”
Well done! Reps are paid to lie and deny.
So…
We’ll have to wait and see.
The NY Daily News is reporting that J. Lo and Marc Anthony will be divorcing right after Valentine’s Day.
I wonder if it’s true, but if it is, it’ll be divorce number 3 for her.
A source told the paper:
“Marc and Jennifer are planning on announcing their divorce right after Marc’s show at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 14. Jennifer is planning on joining Marc onstage for a surprise duet. Things haven’t been right for a while now, and they thought it would be a bittersweet farewell. They’re definitely planning a clean break in February.”
They have been married for over four years and renewed their marriage vows this past October but supposedly that didn’t help and a divorce is in the works.
The source also said,
“Marc’s ready to move on. The fighting has been too much for him to handle lately.”
If it is true, J Lo shouldn’t be surprised. Marc used to be married to Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, and has two children with her. He married J. Lo less than a week after getting divorced and she had said that Marc was in love with JLo while they were still married.
Shania Twain’s allegedly cheatin’ ex- hubby, producer Mutt Lang says it wouldn’t bother him if Shania is seeing his alleged mistress’ ex-hubby, according to a report by Starpulse.
Shania and Mutt separated after she (allegedly) found out he was getting it on with the their secretary and manager of their Swiss estate, Marie-Anne Thiebaud.
The Enquirer is reporting:
Thiebaud’s husband, Frederick, joined the country star for a trip to New York last week, sparking reports the two hurt exes have formed a special friendship.
And Lange insists he’s not bothered by reports of their alleged romance.
When asked if he was upset to see his Twain stepping out with his love rival he tells the National Enquirer [no less!], ‘Not at all. He’s a great guy. I have no idea that is even the case. They are very good friends anyway. I wouldn’t mind if it was the case they were dating, not at all.”
Mutt contends that his alleged romance is just that, alleged, and that he and Marie-Anne are just friends “in the same way Shania and Fred are. Shania didn’t name Marie-Anne as the third party in the divorce. She did not.”
Gwen, Gavin and their two boys, Kingston and Zuma,went to a holiday gathering at a friend’s house on Friday afternoon (December 26) in Beverly Hills, Calif. There she is holding the baby and the car seat… and there is no doubt she’s wearing stylishly high heels. Ever the fashionista! Why not let hubby hold the big car seat and baby to take the safer route of holding the older boy’s hand and letting him walk on his own? He is 2!

On naming his oldest son: “The stuff you read on Wikipedia especially is such rubbish. They have some stranger as my mother and the family names are all wrong. I’d like to complain to Mr. Wikipedia. How do you do that? Kingston is named for Kingston, Jamaica, not Kingston Ferry. So it’s really not that traditional. At least I don’t think there are a lot of kids named for Kingston, Jamaica.”
On Kingston’s music tastes: “He likes anything with a good beat. He’s big into drums. He likes my record. He likes Gwen’s record. He plays some Pharrell and Snoop. Anything that’s good for head-bobbing. He’s a good head-bobber.”
As of Wednesday, Mamma Mia! the musical has just become the top-selling DVD in the United States.
The Dark Knight released on December 9, remains the top-selling video release of 2008 with worldwide estimates of 13.5 million sold its first week. Apparently, 1.7 million of them on Blu-ray Disc format according to Nielsen VideoScan data.
On the Blue-ray Disc selling list, The Dark Knight came in at number one and Mamma Mia! at number three.
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor debuted on Blu-ray at number two.
Here is the first picture of one month-old Bronx Wentz. The photo has been posted on FOE by Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. Seems as if they chose not to sell their baby pictures to tabloids.

Britney just posted this on her official website. What an adorable picture of her and her boys beside their tree. It would have been nice to have had Papa Spears in the picture since he’s been so instrumental with her recovery, as well as helpful in having her visitation restored.
She’s had a difficult year and has really made the effort needed to regain her life, hopefully things will continue to improve for her as well as her sons.
Despite reports from the U.K., stating otherwise, Michael Jackson is in good health. Ian Halperin, a respected writer, has written that Michael has the condition known as A1AD — alpha-1 anti-trypsin deficiency. He said:
“He needs a lung transplant, but may be too weak to go through with it. He also has emphysema and chronic gastrointestinal bleeding, which his doctors have had a lot of trouble stopping.
“It’s the bleeding that’s the most problematic part. It could kill him. He can barely speak. The vision in his left eye is 95 per cent gone. For years Michael has been working with his doctors to make sure it doesn’t progress. He has been on many medications that have stabilized him.”
Not true, according to Dr. Tohme, Michael’s rep:

If he is in such good health, then why is he always sick when it comes time for him to go to court, or perform?
Two guys from Jersey are suing Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z and others, claiming they have made millions by jacking off one of their songs.
Jermaine Jumpp and Michael C. Adams affidavit states that they handed a “compact disk” to the “office” of megaproducer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins with the song “On My Grind.”
Fast-forward to four years later, Mary J. recorded “Enough Cryin’” — produced by Darkchild which the guys say sounds way too familiar.
Jay-Z’s role in all this is so far unclear.
